The Interval Song

I came across this little song on youtube today as I was looking for resources to help students with learning to identify intervals by ear. It's a cute song - repetitive enough to be both endearing and annoying at the same time! That means it will probably get stuck in your head and you'll therefore find intervals easy for the rest of your life :)

Online Interval Ear Trainer

This week I came across an amazing ear training site. This site allows you to customize your training - you simply check off all the intervals that you would like to practice, and start listening! The site gives you immediate feedback as to whether you are right or wrong, and gives you the correct answer if you make a mistake. It also gives you information on your session: how many intervals you identified correctly, how many you had trouble with, and what you success rate is. It is fast-paced, fun, and easy to use - I've been test-driving it this week to help me brush up on my ear training, and I've really enjoyed it! For those of you who are working on identifying intervals in our classes, I highly recommend that you give this site a try.
